Hey there,

Well, that was an interesting January to start off 2022.

Interests rates surprisingly held at 0.25% in both Canada and the U.S.

Both the U.S and Canadian stock markets have seen a lot of volatility, mostly due to the tech sector. The S&P 500 dropped almost 10% at one point but closed at 5.86% down on Jan 31.

Overall, my investments are down in Jan, but I'm not concerned. I don't need to touch my investments for a very long time (20-30 years) I can stomach a much larger drop than this. I'm confident that when I do take it out, it will be at a higher point than it is at today.

Take some time to set your goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon correctly, because it looks like 2022 will be an interesting year.
